🛑 Angus & Friends: Temporary Closure to Intake & Most Inquiries (Adoptions are ContINUING!)

Like many other caring and compassionate people in the San Francisco Bay Area, I fell into doing cat rescue because of the obvious need to help the many cats I would see near where I lived and worked.  I found like-minded people, and joined a cat rescue organization, and learned the ropes with the help of more experienced people who shared my passion to help animals wherever we encountered them. Over two decades later, and after many years with another group, I am still consumed with the need to help any animal in need.  When the opportunity presented itself to start my own nonprofit, I jumped at the chance to take on a new challenge, and help even more cats get off the streets, and into their furrever homes.  After all these years, and with the help of many volunteers and generous donors, I've probably, through the last organization I was with, and now on my own, rescued over 1,000 cats, and helped, conservatively, find homes for close to 800!  

Today, at the age of 76, I am still out feeding 17 colonies every night, and collaborating with others, to get feral cats TNR'd, strays, momcats with kittens, and those litters of kittens where something has happened to the momcat, off the mean streets where they are killed by cars or coyotes, run off by people who don't want them around, or otherwise live short, very difficult lives, even when lucky enough to have found a colony being fed.  This is my passion!  But, I cannot do it alone and feel strongly that all of those individuals and organizations that are out there trying to help animals must work together to help as many of these lovely animals as possible.
