Castro Valley: Yard Sale/Fundraiser November 17, 2024
Sunday November 17 10am to 3 pm
Come by and browse our Yard Sale on Sunday November 17, 2024, from 10:00am to 3:00pm! All proceeds will go towards our rescued kitties!
Our Yard Sale will be held at
2360 Farley Street in Castro Valley
just off the Redwood Road exit from I-580
Here are just some of the items you can expect to see:
- Women's clothes & shoes
- Jewelry
- Household items (kitchenware, linens, lamps, glassware, etc)
- Decorative items, handmade ceramics and other artwork
- Holiday decorations
- Baby supplies
- Games and puzzles
- Cat and dog supplies

Fundraiser To Support Our Medical Fund For Rescued Kitties!
Sunday September 29, 2024 1-5 PM
Come and enjoy a relaxing afternoon, enjoy good food and a brew, and support a good cause! We'll be at Fieldwork Brewing Company in downtown San Leandro on Sunday September 29, 2024, from 1-5 PM.
A message from our Executive Director, Deborah MacDonald:
Calls for help with injured cats, kittens in dangerous places, and cats that sick people have poisoned, or tried to, are just a few of the many issues Angus & Friends Cat Rescue is called upon to address on a daily basis. Additionally, in carrying out our mission of getting as many cats off the street as possible, just the basics of getting them fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go to their furrever homes has become more and more expensive, with the charge for a vet exam often over $100 before anything else is even added.
Donations are the lifeblood of any nonprofit organization, and 501(c)(3) public charities must have infusions of money if we are to even begin to address the needs of the populations we serve. In our ongoing efforts to address these situations, we must continue to do outreach to the community to ask for your help.
I much prefer relaxing, no-pressure events, where we can visit with you and share a nice afternoon together, so toward that end, we are having our Fall Fundraiser on September 29, 2024 from 1-5 PM at:

100 W. Juana Avenue
in Downtown San Leandro
Fieldwork Brewing serves their wonderful beers and great food in a lovely open Atrium with plenty of room for you and as many guests as you want to bring, the more the merrier! Please come and enjoy a relaxing Fall afternoon, support Angus & Friends, and donate to our Medical Fund For Rescued Kitties if you'd like -- there is never any pressure. I truly believe in giving what you can, when you can, and no more!

Angus & Friends Cat Showing & Wine Tasting Event! Sunday Aug 11th 2024
Meet some adorable kitties looking for their forever homes, bring a picnic lunch, and enjoy wine tasting from TwiningVine Winery!
Join us for wine tasting and meet some of our adoptable cats & kittens looking for a forever home! Bring your friends, and a picnic lunch if you'd like, and enjoy the surroundings at Castro Valley's only estate winery. Parking and admission into this venue is free, and wine-tasting is just $10 per person. (Please note that this event will be held outdoors. If the weather is extremely hot on the day of this event, we may not be able to have our cats present.)
Although we won’t be conducting on-site adoptions at this event, Deborah MacDonald, the Executive Director of Angus & Friends, will be present to provide information about any kitty you’re interested in adopting and to explain our adoption process.
Additional information about our event:
- The wine and ambience are through TwiningVine Winery
- The cats and kittens are through Angus & Friends Cat Rescue
- There will be plenty of free parking
- Children may attend the venue, but for safety purposes they must remain with an adult 21+
- TwiningVine's price for Wine Tasting is $10 per person
- The winery does not serve food, but recommends you bring a picnic lunch with you, if you would like
- TwiningVine embraces a “leave no trace" policy and requests that you take all the items you brought in with you when you leave.
We will be holding a fundraising raffle! Tickets, $5 each, will be available for purchase at the event.
