🍷 🐾 Angus & Friends Cat Rescue is returning to TwiningVine Estate Winery in Castro Valley on Sunday July 26, 2026 from 12:00pm - 4:00pm for a fun-filled day supporting rescue cats and kittens! 

 😺💚Join us for a wonderful afternoon filled with great wine, great company, and a great cause. Every sip and every smile helps us continue our mission of rescuing, caring for, and finding loving homes for cats in need. Weather permitting, we will have some of our adoptable cats and kittens for you to meet (sorry, no same-day adoptions).

😺 Meet Our Sweet Adoptable Cats & Kittens

Meet some of our kitties! Although we won’t be conducting on-site adoptions at this event, our Director, Deborah, and many of our wonderful fosters and volunteers will be there to provide information about any kitty you’re interested in adopting and to explain our adoption process.

Wine tasting will be offered for a nominal charge. Wine by the glass and bottles of wine will also be available for purchase.

📣‼️ We have some VERY exciting news! Our wonderful friends at TwiningVine have generously offered to MATCH EVERY DOLLAR donated to Angus & Friends—up to $5,000 — through Sunday afternoon (7/26/26). 

If we can raise the full $5,000, it becomes $10,000 to help cats in need of veterinary care!

• Outside food is no longer allowed on the winery grounds.
• This event will be held outdoors. If the weather is extremely hot on the day of the event, we may not be able to have our cats present.

🧥👗 CLOTHING DRIVE -- YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

We’re gathering gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories to support those in need — and we’d love your help!

Every donation brings warmth, dignity, and a touch of style to someone’s life

Donations may include items such as men's, women's and children’s clothing, shoes, handbags, backpacks, towels, blankets

(please see above image for complete list)

Items should be placed in 13-gallon tall kitchen bags or yard bags, if possible

No paper bags or boxes, please 

Place good condition/useable items, & stained/old/torn items, in separate bags

Please label your bags with "Angus & Friends Cat Rescue"

Bags can be dropped off at 2360 Farley St in Castro Valley 

on Sunday 6/14/26 between 11am and 3pm

Clothing items in good condition are sent to residents of a 3rd-world country.  Old, unuseable items will be shrunken to use as backing on rugs.

Come meet our wonderful adoptable cats and kittens in Castro Valley on 5/2 & 5/3/26! 

See above for photos of some of our kitties who are scheduled to be at this event (subject to change).

Our colleagues at Paws That Matter are holding the grand opening of their Kitty Kat Clubhouse, a new pet adoption center in Castro Valley -- and Angus & Friends has been invited to show some of our adoptable kitties on both days!

Kitty Kat Clubhouse, the Bay Area's first full-time pet adoption center, is located at 2592 Castro Valley Boulevard, across from Pete's Ace Hardware.

This community celebration runs from 11am to 3pm on Saturday May 2 and Sunday May 3, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled at 10:30am on May 2nd.

Paws That Matter will have food, live music, raffle baskets, face painting, and much more! Adoptable cats and dogs from several other local rescue groups will also be at this event.

So come on down to see our kitties, get acquainted with the Kitty Kat Clubhouse, and have a great time!  

Please note: While we are unable to do same-day adoptions, we will work with you to bring your chosen kitty to you as soon as possible (pending approval of adoption application). In most cases, kittens must be adopted in pairs.
